IRVINE, Calif., July 30, 2024 – Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that partner Sheila Swaroop has been recognized by the 2024 Corporate Counsel Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) Awards. The awards “honor in-house and law firm women leaders and allies who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.”
Ms. Swaroop was recognized in the “Thought Leadership” category dedicated to women who “focus on how true leadership can change the world” and “have a successful department/team through their outstanding leadership skills.”
Chair of the firm’s litigation practice, Ms. Swaroop was recognized for her successful track record in several high-profile matters, including a patent infringement case on behalf of Masimo Corporation against Apple at the International Trade Commission that resulted in an import ban of infringing Apple Watches. She was also recognized for her involvement in the broader legal community, including her leadership roles in legal organizations and service as a mentor to younger attorneys. Ms. Swaroop is a frequent writer, commenter and speaker, having recently been quoted and published in the media on IP and patent litigation issues. She is regularly recognized as an industry leader in Legal 500 USA and IAM Patent 1000 and was named a 2024 Top Intellectual Property Lawyer by the Daily Journal.
