Bryant Chen

Bryant Chen has expertise in wireless communication systems, DSPs, Wi-Fi, AI, CPU, GPU, RF, medical devices, and semiconductor process, packaging and manufacturing technologies.

Before joining the firm, Bryant worked for MediaTek from 2007 to 2021, where he designed wireless communication chipsets for smart TV demodulators for over four years. He then worked for MediaTek’s legal and IP department, where he drafted patent applications, developed non-infringement opinions, conducted patent invalidity searches and negotiated patent licensing deals. Bryant was promoted to a senior patent engineer in 2017.

Bryant is the co-inventors of three U.S. patents and co-authors of two IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems papers. Bryant’s master of laws thesis on high frequency trading was accepted by Taiwan’s National Technology Law Conference in 2015. He received Honorable Mention Award for Outstanding Chip Design from Chip Implementation Center in 2007 and Outstanding Engineering Student Award from Chinese Institute of Engineers in 2004 in Taiwan. Bryant has over six years programming experience in C++, Matlab and Verilog HDL.

Bryant was a summer associate at the firm in 2021 and joined the firm in 2022.
